How do I add or create Search Alerts?

You can set up Search Alerts to get notified when specific listings are posted.

There are two ways to add alerts:

Creating search alerts method 1

Tap the magnifying glass icon 🔍 (top right corner of the Home) and enter a search word such as "phone."

You will then see Create search alert for <phone> button at the top of the search results.

Alternatively, you can go to My Karrot > Search alerts to add them manually. 

After entering a search word and tapping Create, you will get alerts when a matching listing is posted.

Customizing and editing search alerts

You can also customize alerts to get more specific listings and avoid irrelevant alerts.

Tap the filter icon on the right side of the alert to set category and price filters and add exclusions.

• Category: choose specific categories

  
  E.g., if you are looking for “women’s jeans”, you might want to select “Women’s fashion” to receive alerts from the categories that you want.

• Price range: you can set a specific range to get alerts for items that fall in your budget.

• Exclusions: specify words that you don’t want to receive alerts for.
  E.g., for a “phone” search alert, you could add “case” to not get alerts for “phone case” listings.

Once you have added your filters, tap done to save the search alert.

Deleting search alerts

1. Tap the bell icon in the home feed > Search alerts tab > Edit . Alternatively, go to My Karrot > Search Alerts.

2. Tap on the trash can icon to delete an alert.

3. You can also bulk delete alerts. Tap Edit and select the alerts you want to delete and then tap the Remove button.

If you’re receiving too many irrelevant alerts, consider adding filters to make them more specific.
